This week on Digital Music Trends I had the pleasure to welcome\xa0Glenn Peoples\xa0(Billboard),\xa0Darren Hemmings\xa0(Motive Unknown) and\xa0Michael Roffman\xa0(Consequence of Sound). We chat about\xa0Beyonc\xe9's surprise album\xa0release and its potential impact on the industry, discuss the\xa0news stories that influenced 2013\xa0and may also be relevant through 2014 and finally talk about the\xa0future of innovation for music apps and services\xa0using the iTunes best-of 2013 list as a springboard.

Quite how we managed to stretch these three subjects to well over 1 hour and 10 minutes is beyond me but it was a really fun show - you'll have to tune in to figure it out!

This is the last "news" show for 2013 but there will be a couple of specials coming in the next two of weeks: an interview with The Echo Nest's CEO and a "DMT around the world in 2013" show with snippets of some of the best interviews I recorded this year so look out for them!
