It is great to develop habits that help us become the fathers, husbands and men in general, that we are capable of being, but the same automaticity with which we eventually do these things, can make these actions empty and only stepping stones to something else. In fact, they are a part of our lives. Changing these behaviours from habits into rituals means becoming more present when doing them and appreciating them as important moments that also develop the same focus and intentionality in the other areas of our lives.
