Nick Hurndon, is the subject of the short film A Childhood On Fire, which chronicles how he and his two brothers were set on fire by theirstepfather when they were children. It also explores the effects that childhood abuse had on him as an adult, and his purpose of interrupting cycles of violence through generations. The film was an official selection at several film festivals including San Francisco Film Festival, DOC NYC, and Aesthetica. In 2019 he became the World Masters Weightlifting Champion of his division. Hurndon is the owner of Magnus Strength and Conditioning, as well as a certified Hardstyle Kettlebell Instructor, Marine veteran, competitive Judoka and CrossFitter. He is the father of two sons, and believe that transcendental stoicism is the key to a better life.
