Published: March 24, 2016, 4:59 p.m.

A good workflow means fewer hiccups in a project build. An automated workflow means fewer hiccups and faster production! Front-end developer Dan Tello joins the show to share how he and his team at Viget use build tools and task runners to automate their front-end (and CMS!) development. Dan details his process learning Grunt, then making the switch to Gulp and why he prefers it. He shares his Gulp Starter repo and details the various tools he uses for the different assets he builds. We also discuss some of the challenges of workflow automation and tips for keeping those challenges manageable.\n < Download MP3 >      < Listen on ctrlclickcast.com >\n \n Show Notes:\n \tLiveReload\tIcoMoon\tRails Sprockets\tCompass\tGrunt\tRequireJS\tAnd just like that Grunt and RequireJS are out, it\u2019s all about Gulp and Browserify now\tGulp\tBrowserify\tNode.js\tNPM\tBabel\twebpack\tNode-sass\timagemin\tgulp-svgstore\tBrowsersync\tGulp Starter\tGulp + Browserify: The Everything Post\tnpm-shrinkwrap\tWhy we should stop using Grunt & Gulp \tCodeKit\tSyncing remote Craft sites to your development machine\tSwig\tImageOptim\tImageAlpha\tGulp: Getting Started\tHow to Use NPM as a Build Tool\tEE Automation with Matt Fordham\tSass Workflows: Setup & Automaton with Ben Frain\tVersion Control with Adam Wiggall & Ian Pitts\tCreate Your Own Starter Files\t\tLeave us a review on iTunes\tReview our show on Stitcher\t\n \n \n \n Sponsored By
