On July 30th 2008, a Greyhound bus was travelling east along the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 20 miles from Portage la Prairie. As night fell, some of the passengers, including 22 year old Timothy McLean, tried to get some sleep. The final stop was over an hour away, but the journey would come to an abrupt end a lot sooner than that.
