Newbery Medal Winning Author Jerry Craft
We are joined by the New York Times bestselling and Newbery Medal winning author, Jerry Craft. We discuss his graphic novel New Kid, which is only the second book to win both the Newbery Medal and the Coretta Scott King award. Craft is also the creator of Mama\u2019s Boyz, an award-winning comic strip which won the African American Literary Award five times. He is a cofounder of the Schomburg Center\u2019s Annual Black Comic Book Festival.
