Balter Beerworks: Balanced Beers for a Not So Balanced Life

Published: June 4, 2022, 7:47 p.m.

Welcome to Knoxville, Tennessee, where the beer flows just as easy as the country music, the whiskey, and the rolling hills. Where Will Rutemeyer finally realized his true calling to become a brewer. Where Balter Beerworks found its roots in classic brews, handcrafted foods, and community gatherings. This is a Will's story as much as it is Balter's story. For without the other, neither would be quite the same. And Knoxville wouldn't be either.

Meet Will Rutemeyer from Balter Beerworks

Growing up in Chattanooga, Will's parent's were friends with the owners of Chattanooga Brewing Co. So at a young age, Will was exposed to the art of brewing. Not quite sure yet what path he wanted to follow, off to college young Will went, graduating with degree in hand to land himself in a corporate job hidden amidst the cubicles. Quickly learning that this was not the path he wanted to follow, he began his journey back to brewing. Crossing paths with another that was also looking to get into the brewery business, a new path was forged.\xa0

One built on well-balanced classic beers to match the lifestyle that so many struggle to create. So while we all may be a bit out of balance when it comes to that ever elusive work/life balance, visiting Balter Beerworks in Knoxville, Tennessee, may just be the weight needed to bring us back to center. At least for that moment that we are enjoying the beers that pair well with the food while gathering with friends.

Join us as we chat all the above and attempt to give you, our listeners, a bit of unsolicited advice about how to create a work/life balance that fits your lifestyle. Because balance in life, just as in beer, is never an equal weight of all the ingredients.
