Sermon Synopsis: When the Lord says, "Be still and know that I am God", understand that it is a summon to the individual to personally encounter Him. Revelation can only be obtained when we learn to be still. The word for "know" can be translated in several different ways, but one of them is the way Adam knew his wife Eve whereby she conceived and bore a son. It is a word that denotes intimacy and interaction. In this busy season where everyone seems to be in a rush, perhaps slowing down and listening might be the very thing we need for focus and stability.
