There is a blessedness to mourning as it softens the heart to be warm and receptive and it will eventually lead to a season of celebration and rejoicing. A season of dancing comes after a season of mourning. God can pour out His grace and supplication during mourning. We must allow a season of mourning to take its course before we can move forward. Mourning produces contriteness and makes us so broken over our sins that it produces a spirit of repentance. If the nation will mourn and repent for her sins, we will see the greatest revival we have ever seen in our land. The Lord said to Joshua, the new leader of Israel, "Moses, My servant, is dead, now therefore, ARISE."
