There is a common saying\u2026 \u201cThere\u2019s some good news, and there\u2019s some bad news.\u201d That saying could describe the book of Romans. It has a lot of good news (in fact, the word \u201cgospel\u201d means \u201cgood news\u201d). But the book of Romans also has some bad news about God\u2019s wrath and how we deserve it because of our sinfulness. Paul writes a commentary on the culture in Romans 1 like it\u2019s today\u2019s headlines\u2014we are worshiping creation more than the Creator. There is more of an obsession about the planet and the environment than there is with God in our culture today. All this is symptomatic of a world that has denied the existence of God and disobeyed Him despite the fact that God has revealed Himself to an unrighteous world.
