Why You Should Not Breed Your Corgi

Published: Aug. 4, 2023, 1 a.m.

We often talk about how breeding should be careful and mindful. Accidental litters do happen. We brought Sorcha Porter in on this episode. She's a corgi mom who was bedridden with an injury during a time waiting for her corgi to come into maturity so she could be spayed. She did conceive and Sorcha went to work doing all she could for the health of mom and the pups! Connecting with professional breeders on advice about how to proceed and ordering genetic testing, consulting with the vet frequently, as well as sleeping on the floor around the clock with the pups and mom, are all things Sorcha did to ensure the best case possible. Tune in to hear why she would never do it again and why the experience reinforced why she believes breeding should be done by professionals only. \n\nConnect with Sorcha:\nhttps://sorchahomes.com
