With experience in dealing with a crisis, John Koskinen talks about the measures he took in dealing with the challenges of the 2000 economic crisis. His role in the government at that time was to coordinate people working on the crisis from all over the world which ultimately worked well.
When comparing the Covid-19 crisis and the economic crisis of the 2000s, he says problems often get away from you if you wait too long to deal with it.
John explains how the IRS could quickly get checks to people through the stimulus package. Depending on the length of the isolation, another stimulus package may be needed.
