**********This interview was given to me by Phil Leonetti, under restricted conditions to protect his privacy and safety*****************
It's not often that you have an opportunity to talk to someone who is still living in protective custody, under an assumed name, working a 9-5 job somewhere, with a past that no one was aware of until now. It's not often one gets the opportunity to talk to a hit man, a killer who has admitted to killing at least 9 people.
His name is Phil Leonetti, a former member of one of America's most violent crime family's. He is the nephew of Little Nicky Scarfo, of La Cosa Nostra fame, who is still in prison now because of Phil's testimony when he turned state's evidence. John Gotti and Vincent Gigante along with a number of other mob members are all in prision because of what Phil said under oath. His Uncle Nicky has a $500,000 dollar bounty on his nephews head. The mafia has a long memory and the guys that Phil "put away" have a long memory, and a number of them were just paroled from prison recently.
Phil's story is about what his life was like back in the day that he too was a member of the mafia. He has admitted to killing at least 9 people, 9 "hits". I asked him a lot of questions about his life back then, and his life now, and what exactly the future might hold. I also wondered what it was like to know he took the life of nine people.
How can a man turn states evidence against the mob and still be walking around today? Find out how...
Here's Phil's Story...the book is called Mafia Prince.
