The Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation (JSJBF), a\nnon-profit organization supporting & preserving jazz & blues in New\nJersey, is proud to announce a new Mississippi Delta/Jersey Shore musical,\ncultural, & educational partnership. To kickstart collaboration we joined\nforces with Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth\nUniv, who will co-produce our premier event, The Mississippi Delta Meets the\nJersey Shore & we\u2019re happy to welcome our co-sponsors, Mississippi Delta\nNational Heritage Area & Visit Clarksdale. Willie Dixon once declared \u201cthe\nblues are the roots & other musics are the fruits.\u201d The Jersey Shore, known\nfor its unique blend of music, has quite a bit of the \u201cfruits.\u201d As part of the\nJSJBF\u2019s mission to preserve jazz & blues, we\u2019re bringing \u201cthe roots\u201d up\nfrom the Mississippi Delta. On Fri June 2, 2023 at 8pm, From the Delta to\nJersey Shore, an evening of performance, stories and more at Monmouth Univ\nLauren K. Woods Theatre.
