Donald G. James is the author of "Manners will take you where brains and money won't: Wisdom from Momma and 35 years at NASA." (Feb. 2021). Inspired by the overwhelming reaction to the 1986 space shuttle Challenger tragedy, Donald James decided to make his career at NASA, retiring (after 35 years) in 2017. Donald enjoys mentoring students and early-career professionals. Donald is a graduate of the University of Southern California and American University. He lives in Pleasanton, CA.
