Alright, real talk: this episode probably isn\u2019t going to change your life, but there are some interesting little nuggets to be found in between the names and genealogies. For instance, there\u2019s, \u201cThe Prayer of Jabez,\u201d right? which, if you didn\u2019t live through 90\u2019s Christendom, is the title of a book that says you can be blessed with prosperity if you pray prayers like Jabez. Although the author probably lined his pockets with that book, the section on Jabez simply describes something that happened; it isn\u2019t prescribed for all believers. You might as well say, \u201cPray Solomon\u2019s prayer and you\u2019ll be blessed with wisdom, a kingdom, and a temple!\u201d It doesn\u2019t quite work like that.
