Sights and Sounds-Trout Fishing Derby

The City of Iowa City sponsored a Trout Fishing Derby at the Terry Trueblood Recreation Area. The DNR of the State of Iowa supplied 2000 trout to the lake and the game was on. Anglers tried to catch any of the 200 of the trout that were tagged and represented a prize for the angler who caught them. The Terry Trueblood Recreation Area is one of the newest park and recreation area to be established for the community. Contact the City Recreation Dept. at 356-5100 for more information on the area.
