Is it time for Laissez-faire Leadership?

With nonstop business and technology disruptions, current leaders at the top are either becoming irrelevant or less than qualified to lead the charge. Is it time for laissez-faire leadership where they become the followers of the people they lead\u2014letting go of the control\u2014allowing the workers to navigate through the haze who in the process develop themselves and their leaders?
