We talk about the appeal of horror movies, explore their value in expressing societal fears in turbulent times, and comment on Salem's reputation as a Halloween hot spot. We also touch on some of the films screening at the festival, which range from classic chillers such as Night of the Living Dead to modern horrors such as Get Out.
