We used that sample to create a lot of the chord structure and synthesis backbone melodies of the song! Pretty cool eh?

We really wanted to make the song an experience so we hired our friend Nikki who is a talented screenplay writer to create a short story based on the artwork, music and lyrics.

What she came up with was an amazing tale about a dating simulator sprite that becomes self-aware and falls in-love with her user.

We created EarthBound-esque game text-box gifs to promote the single and tell the tale of our sentient love- sick Dating Sim.
We released a tweet a day with a snippet of the story until it’s fruition and release of the song.

We encouraged readers to share her “transmissions” to help find her user–making the listeners part of her tale.
☆

2024 Creative Commons CC Attribution Noncommercial No Derivative Works (BY-NC-ND)
