Ahirbudhnyah: Of the form of \u1fb9di-\u015ae\u1e63a. The word ahi means a serpent; here it is \u1fb9di-\u015ae\u1e63a. The word budhna means base; here it means the base (bottom) of the Cosmic Egg (brahm\u0101\u1e47\u1e0da), the p\u0101t\u0101la. As \u1fb9di-\u015ae\u1e63a, \u015aiva supports (pervades and envelopes) the whole Cosmic Egg. The Vi\u1e63\u1e47u-Pur\u0101\u1e47a says, \u2018Rudra, in the form of Sa\u1e45kar\u1e63a\u1e47a, bears the three worlds.\u2019 Sa\u1e45kar\u1e63a\u1e47a, in the form of \u015ae\u1e63a, is no other than Rudra. In this name, the two words ahi\u1e25 and budhnya together make one name.
