Soma is to be worshipped by using soma after drinking the soma which was offered to Shiva. I now know clearly that the soma is none other than Shiva Shambu Maheshwara.

Soma also means moon . Moon is one of the eight forms of lord Shiva and hence he is called soma. Lord Shiva is the greatest giver of bliss and moon is also a source of bliss and hence Lord Shiva is called Soma . This name is also praised in the vedas
