In this episode of Check It/Round Table Onna discusses To My Star the BL Kdrama available on Viki Rakuten.  Onna considers how this is one film/series that she goes back to at least twice a year and often listens to her Chance:  To My Star playlist, https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNLPr8sHZ4dWDef4-7fjnKd-z_UsCU3Qe and is the first Korean BL drama she liked because of the realistic characters and the likability of the storyline and the progression of the relationship of Jin Woo and Seo Joon.  To My Star shows how relationships can be based on thought and how Seo Joon likes Jin Woo because he was not easy to get to know and had some walls.  This film and BL drama in general are favs with Onna because the characters like one another for qualities beyond appearances and on the comfortability of the couple over the passion of the couple in the series'/films.

Onna loves how in this film there is a moment where Seo Joon tells Jin Woo that he wants to date Jin Woo because he is not anxious around him and because he feels it is what is meant to be, but that is all his self-centered reasons, and he does not want to be selfish with Jin Woo and his relationship with him and steps back from the situation.  It is at this point that we as viewers see that Jin Woo begins to really like Seo Joon because he brings him out of his shell and helps him to look at life a bit more open-heartened.

Onna then have a minor rant on people's incomplete opinions on PTSD and Seo Joon's battle with PTSD that is intertwined with the CCTV footage that is incriminating Seo Joon by association and how same sex couples face difficulties in South Korea and gives a shout-out to Dooksuri, https://youtu.be/rOvK_6Ed17U.  Onna concludes on how it is interesting to see how Seo Joon realizes that he has to go to Jin Woo because Jin Woo has trouble processing his emotions and how Jin Woo goes from "no, no, no" to "yes, yes, yes" in his relationship with Se Joon, and why she gives this series a rare 10.  It's all here.  It's all real.
