Star Trek Picard S1, E8--Broken Pieces: an Episode in Review

Published: Sept. 20, 2020, 2:59 p.m.

In this episode of Check It/Round Table Onna discusses how the roboticist is evil and Onna always knew she was as she was just too . . . churchy and how some characters really don't have any redeeming qualities and how even bad characters should have at least a reason that is valid for their bad-ness.  Onna also considers how the fear of history is a valid fear, has a mild discussion on the Great Courses by Prof. Rufus Fears, and how despite the fear of history repeating itself, you still, despite your fears, should move forward with the right course of action, and that, will change history because you have done the unbelievable--you have learned from history!  Onna considers how you really need to deal with the immediate danger before dealing with the non-immediate problem.  It's all here.  It's all real.
