In this episode of Check It/Round Table Onna discusses why she likes this film over the 1960's My Fair Lady and why Onna thinks Gone with the Wind is truly a big blow over.  Onna explains why Dame Wendy Hiller and Leslie Howard make this film because Dame Hiller brought so much to the character of Eliza because of her inner mojo and how her interplay with Leslie Howard has more comradely and equality than the 1960's version.  Onna concludes with why the final scene is the wild card that makes this film such a gem because the professor's vulnerability and attempt to backtrack because he does not want his childlike nature and how that flash of vulnerability is what makes this production better than My Fair Lady because he is a proud snot you can laugh with.  It's all here.  It's all real.
