1950's Sherlock Holmes Collection featuring Ronald Howard: a series in Review

Published: Sept. 25, 2020, 2:16 a.m.

In this episode of Check It/Round Table Onna discusses the 1950's Sherlock Holmes Collection starring Ronald Howard, the son of Leslie Howard and how this is her favorite series because Sherlock is shown to be the fun, smart, humorous fellow he is in the original stories and the noir style it is filmed in.  Onna explains why she loves the range of expression Ronald Howard brings to this collection and how she digresses into how though Benedict Cumberbatch does a great job portraying a type of HFA, but he is not as personable as Sherlock was in the books and stories and how Cumberbatch's Sherlock is really quite the opposite of a high-functioning sociopath, though he says he is throughout.   Onna considers how this series is good for all ages and discretion regarding this series.  It's all here.  It's all real.
