In this installment of Catching Up On Cinema's \u201cDrinking Movie Month,\u201d Kyle introduces Trevor to Danny Boyle's, Trainspotting (1996)!

\n

Based on a novel by Irvine Welsh, the film is a charismatic and high energy tale about a gang of troubled Scottish youths and their misadventures in navigating drug abuse in the modern world.

\n

Headlined by a very young Ewan McGregor, the film is packed with emerging Scottish and British talent, consisting of the likes of Ewen Bremner, Robert Carlisle, Jonny Lee Miller and Kevin McKidd.

\n

Stylish and borderline anarchic in it's presentation, the film's presentation and breakneck pace are utterly intoxicating, all the while somehow managing a largely upbeat atmosphere despite the subject matter periodically veering into truly dark territory.

\n

Ewen Bremner also co-starred in AVP (2004), a film that was discussed in our very first upload!:
