\nToday I interview Bunny ( cheap van life with bunny) and talk about the \nrise of interest in the infamous Slab City. Trigger warning as this \nepisode contains some pretty graphic stories.Slab City, also called The \nSlabs, is an unincorporated, off-the-grid alternative lifestyle \ncommunity consisting largely of snowbirds in the Salton Trough area of \nthe Sonoran Desert, in Imperial County, California. It took its name \nfrom concrete slabs that remained after the World War II Marine Corps \nCamp Dunlap training camp was torn down.[3] Slab City is known for \nattracting people who want to live outside mainstream society.\n\n
