85. Pam Hutchings - Fighting to find a diagnosis for my daughter

Published: March 11, 2023, 2:29 p.m.

Pam's daughter Taryn was a normal teen, maybe even exceptional. Taryn was succeeding in advanced classes in school, a dancer and athlete. Then seemingly over night Taryn became suicidal, hearing voices and seeing things that weren't there. Over the last 7 months, Taryn has spent most of it in the hospital. Pam had to leave her job to become a care giver for Taryn all while trying to find medications and treatments that could have any affect on Taryn's health. In the midst of the chaos, Pam and Taryn started a non for profit group for teens suffering with mental illness and their caregivers, Teens Talk YXE. Listen to Pam's experience and make sure to keep listening after the interview as I give an update on Taryn's diagnosis.\xa0\nMAKE SURE TO FOLLOW TEENS TALK YXE ON INSTAGRAM @teens_talkyxe\xa0\n
