STANDOUT QUOTES

• “Altruism is acting on feelings of compassion for others, so it’s not just saying like ‘Man, I feel for you. I’ll be praying for you.’ It’s literally acting on that. It’s actions that support the wellbeing of others.” -Dr. Amber Selking [03:19]
• “When you’re going through something like that, to have people that have been where you’ve been and but years ahead, and willing to jump back with you and lock arms and help you figure out how to tackle it, it was incredibly meaningful.” -Dr. Amber Selking [04:58]
• “Not everybody’s in a position to be altruistic all the time in every different situation or scenario. But the thing is if you are and you take that one extra step of like taking action for people, it’s powerful in how people can show up.” -Dr. Amber Selking [05:21]
• “Taking actions that support the well-being of other people is good for us as humans, and then it’s good for the communities where we live, work and play.” -Dr. Amber Selking [10:01]
