Joseph C. Grant, Jr. Is an independent filmmaker, an accomplished author and a respected artist. He grew up in the\nBedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn. Using his negatives to his advantage, Joe was able to incorporate his childhood\ninto his works.\nHe has received many commendations for his work in the community by local politicians.\nHis films have been premiered at Steiner Studios and Brooklyn Academy of Music. Mr. Grant has worked with PS 150\nand Life Academy High School. He has also appeared on News 12 Brooklyn for his work with the schools in the\ncommunity and was honored by Assemblyman William F. Boyland, Jr.\n\nCurrently Joseph serves as the Ambassador o f Arts and Culture for Bed-Stuy and Northern Crown Heights in\nBrooklyn. He is also creating an artistic retrospective of the historical black firemen of America, spanning from the\n1800's to the present, titled "We Didn't Start The Fire."\n\nJoseph Grant was the Director of the Opening Night movie titled "The Stuff."
