Michiel Fokke is CTO at Quby, a company that has created Toon, a display placed in the spot you normally have your thermostat. A lot of people in The Netherlands know Toon as a smart thermostat, but it's a lot more than that. Quby, with Toon, aims to show you energy consumption of your appliances in your home, showing for example if one of these appliances is using too much power, notifying you that it's maybe up for replacement.
