As H\u014dk\u016ble\u2018a sailed around the world, one of its educational goals was to learn more about the Earth and her natural wonders. Hear from crew members as they share lessons learned from visiting areas such as the Papah\u0101naumoku\u0101kea Marine National Monument in the Northwest Hawaiian Islands, the Gal\xe1pagos National Park, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, and one of the oldest and most diverse fossil reefs in the world, in Lake Champlain, Vermont. Learn about some of the science projects conducted while on the wa\u2018a (canoe) and how updates, weather, and navigation reports from aboard H\u014dk\u016ble\u2018a and sister canoe Hikianalia were used to support classroom instruction related to navigation and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
