After much discussion and maligning, we are no longer just blindly hating on "Being the Ricardos" but trying to find what's to love in the 2+ hour glimpse into what is apparently the scariest week in the lives of Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, and the cast and crew of "I Love Lucy." It amounts to a lot of Nicole as Carol Radziwill as Lucy futzing with the flowers and moving the piano bench. The real highlights of the movie are the Mertzes--Nina Arianda and Oscar nominee JK Simmons shine as second bananas ripe for more screen time. And while much has been laid at Kidman's feet for a loosey goosey Lucy, Aaron Sorkin's writing and direction were not doing her any favors.
