On Jan. 3. Boko Haram, an Islamic extremist group in Nigeria, reportedly slaughtered over 2,000 people in Baga, who were mostly women, children and senior citizens. Days later, the terrorist group continued to occupy the city, while hundreds of bodies flooded the streets and thousands of people were left as refugees. Despite this gross violation of human rights, Western media has glossed over this tragedy while offering continued coverage of the 17 people who died in a recent terror attack in Paris.
