Is Standardized Testing Corrupting Our Schools?

Several educators were recently sentenced to 7 years in prison on racketeering charges for their involvement in the infamous Atlanta school cheating scandals. According to prosecutors, more than 150 educators fed answers to students and changed answers on standardized tests under pressure to save their jobs and give the impression that the troubled school system was making improvements. Meanwhile, thousands of students across the country are opting out of standardized tests aligned to the controversial standards of Common Core.
