In the Fall of last year, the music industry would change forever with the sudden emergence of the icon known as Fake Drake in a Miami club. Okay \u2013 on second thought, that\u2019s a lot of hyperbole. Fake Drake might not have changed the game in any meaningful way when he sprung up fully-formed and rockin\u2019 that Certified Lover Boy haircut \u2013 but he did kickstart a movement that has seemingly carried into the year of our Lord 2022. What movement? Well, we\u2019re calling it Rise of the Clones. Because in the early stages of April this year, we also met Lil Durk\u2019s lookalike -- a man who wants to be known as Perkioo. Now, these two are more or less living the life of actual hip-hop stars \u2013 I\u2019m talking music videos, appearance fees, clout chasing, and yes, even beef.
