Words are vital for communicating information. Quite often, our choice of words can be the measure of success or failure when it comes to getting our point across to others. In a seemingly perplexing and odd series of events, our story from the gospel of Luke today illustrates the importance of our choice of words. In it we see how Jesus’ rebuke of the powers of evil and darkness came to overcome and restore God’s light and love to a man cast aside as demon-possessed. Join us as our guest speaker, Rev. Andrew Moore, explores how the distinctions we sometimes make with our words can result in the exclusion of others. Discover insight into your own spiritual intemperance. Be encouraged by the knowledge that the darkness can never have the last word as the power of God’s love will always prevail. Then, liberated and empowered as an agent of God’s healing light and love, share this knowledge with others using your own words.
