All is bright. Sounds pretty good doesn’t it? After all, isn’t that what the 200-year-old hymn Silent Night, Holy Night proclaims? Advent is a time of anticipation and hope, no doubt. But what will your Advent season look like this year? Will you choose to sit idly back and watch another Advent come and go singing of the Hope of Jesus—that preferred outcome that is reasonably likely to happen? Or is there another kind of hope? A hope that is unlike the passive hope that the prophet Isaiah proclaimed that all should wait for the coming divine intervention in the form of a baby? Join us as Pastor Tony Minear, Ph.D. proposes a new way to celebrate the hope of Advent this year. To take a walk down the road less traveled. To choose to be an active participant in bringing about hope to society rather than passively dismissing it. To be that ray of light to others now. Listen and learn how hope is something we do, rather than just have.
