Today we vindicate the Inn Keeper. For centuries, the Inn Keeper has gotten a bad rap in the Christmas nativity story of Jesus’ birth. Those familiar with the narrative know that when Mary and Joseph arrived in Bethlehem, the Inn Keeper sent them away declaring no vacancy in the Inn. From songs to Christmas pageants performed since, the Inn Keeper’s response has set the scene for Jesus’ humble birth in a manger. However, the gospel of Luke reveals a much different story. Join us this week as Pastor Tony Minear, Ph.D. examines the nativity story as told by the writer of the gospel of Luke. Listen and consider a new twist on a familiar narrative that authored Jesus’ arrival and impact on humanity. Discover the power our stories can have in shaping our experiences as followers of Jesus and for others who have yet to hear of Jesus’ impact. Recorded live at Beatitudes Church, Phoenix, AZ on 12/22/19 Preaching: Rev.
