\u201cI\u2019ve made about 8 or 10 short films now, and if you go into them thinking they\u2019re going to be expanded, I think you perhaps do the form a bit of a disservice. For me, short films stand alone; they\u2019re closer to a poem than a short story. They\u2019re hard to get right, and when you do get them right (if you ever do) they\u2019re a joy.\u201d\n\nDirector Peter Mackie Burns discusses the making of his first Feature Film 'Daphne', which was inspired by one of his early Short Films 'Happy Birthday to Me'.
