When it comes to reporting a sexual assault \u2013 if the assault has just happened,
\xb7 go somewhere safe, call triple 0 and ask for police.
\xb7 Don\u2019t disturb the area where the assault happened.
\xb7 Don\u2019t bath or shower.
\xb7 Don\u2019t eat or drink anything.
\xb7 Don\u2019t wash or discard the clothing you wore during the assault.
When it comes to reporting historical sexual assault,
that\u2019s any sexual assault that happened days, weeks, months or even years ago, it\u2019s never too late.
Delays in reporting sexual assault are very common for lots of reasons.
