v.206 Soundsystem DJs Laura Lamb and Eric Moon lead a monthly story-telling session using electronic beats and textures at the Living Room bar in Seattle. Laura hails from a basement surrounded by music, much as she did as a young child in her father Gary Lamb's recording studio. From a young age she was fascinated by musical technology, from intimidatingly complex mixing boards to grand pianos. She went on to train as a pianist before getting swept into the world of ballet and modern dance. Soon after Laura moved to Seattle she discovered underground dance music, and never looked back. Eric's fascination with synthetic sound began an early age with tape recorders and primitive computers, which gave soon turned into an all-consuming obsession with synthesizers, drum machines, and artificial soundscapes...
