I was asked yesterday if I’ve ever had moments where I couldn’t create. Being a daily writer for twenty eight years I found that to be a difficult question to answer. Define create. Are we talking about creating art? Creating books, poetry, food and or conversation? Creative people aren’t supposed to fit in the same mold. The definition of create makes us different. That’s where so many drop out of the game because they feel uncomfortable. Feeling different is either accepted or judged. I laugh when each who are different are doing the same thing but in different ways. But for many it’s easier to digest when everybody’s using the same secret sauce or spice. How dare anyone be different! When I personally find myself in an OMG I’m less creative moment, the goal is to accept the emotion while still moving forward. It allows creativity to still have its rightful voice because you allowed yourself to take your time.
