July 3, 2023 When people make it known that you aren\u2019t smiling. While in public, I usually wear a candy coated plastic bathroom mirror smile. Somewhat real somewhat fake. In radio we usually called it nervous laughter. The person who spotted me without a smile didn\u2019t know of the amazing amount of stress I had put myself in the center of. Not only did I have a register till full of money out but lottery ticket people want to make sure you are focused on getting them exactly what they want. Boom! I was busted! I used that candy coated bathroom mirror smile later in the night while trying to thwart a major theft. Instead of putting security on a woman of suspicion, I walked into a conversation with her with that smile blazing. I learned a lot about her and the travels she has made. That fake smile served as a magnet to show we weren\u2019t unfriendly. She didn\u2019t run. She paid and we all lived happily ever after. But in order to get to that moment I needed to be caught with a frown.
