One of Norway's most prominent and prolific actor, Thorbjørn Harr became a known figure even internationally with his turn in VIKINGS . Thorbjørn played "Jarl Bord," the powerful Viking leader from a competing clan and antagonist to Travis Fimmel's "Ragnar."
Thorbjørn has won several awards for his work at the National Theatre of Norway, including the Norwegian Critics Award for his role in CHET DOESN'T PLAY HERE which he also adapted and directed, and he was nominated for The Hedda Award for Best Leading Actor for his role in ORPHANS. Thorbjørn's other stage credits include THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, PIPPI LONGSTOCKING, GROWTH OF THE SOIL, JEPPE OF THE HILL, CELEBRATION, and YESTERDAY which he wrote, directed, and starred in.
Thorbjørn's feature credits include DESTINATION MOSCOW for which he was nominated for an Amanda Award (Norway's version of the Oscars) for Best Actor, Joachim Trier's REPRISE, BEL CANTO starring opposite Julianne Moore, and Paul Greengrass' 22 JULY to mention just a few.
For his role in the Norwegian feature BARN, Harr won another Amanda Award in 2020. Up next, Harr stars in THE TUNNEL, hitting theaters on April 9 from Samuel Goldwyn Films.
