When Dr. Temperance Brennan is called in to investigate the body of a man who was struck by lightning during a Montreal storm, she follows a trail of evidence to Turks and Caicos, where a series of gruesome murders has left local law enforcement puzzled. It seems to be the work of a serial killer\u2014the bodies are all found dumped in similar locations, missing their left hand\u2014but what is the connection between the victims?
