Growing up in West Philadelphia, J. Alex Brinson’s single mother sought to give her dyslexic son the best life possible and encouraged him to pursue his passion to perform. Brinson followed his dream and earned a place in the drama division at the prestigious Julliard School in New York City. Following a run of a successful run of theater and television roles -- including Prison Break, The X-Files and Supernatural – he landed a part on the sci-fi Netflix series Travelers with Eric McCormack. Initially meant to be just a three-episode arc, Brinson’s immersion into his role convinced the producers to keep him for all three seasons.

When he’s not in front of the camera, he’s behind it. Brinson and his wife/business partner Sarah Brinson, founded GB Group Creative, an arts education and media company; D.O.P. Music, an indie record label and music production company; and Think Brinson Entertainment, a film and television production company.
