She can control her hobby and love for the holidays, but her family\u2019s life she cannot.

Enter Nettie\u2019s daughter and granddaughter.

Her daughter Noel used to love Christmas too, but now she has disdain for her mother\u2019s passion. Noel was adopted when she was four years old. She senses a clock ticking and she wants to find her biological parents before they die. Nettie, a genealogist, has tried for many years to locate her biological parents, but her failure to do so weighs on her heavily.

Then there\u2019s Nettie\u2019s granddaughter, Miki who lives and works in Chicago - a far cry from the simple farm girl life he\u2019s lived. But Miki has just announced she\u2019s coming home to Iowa as she\u2019s gotten a job renovating historic facades in Nettie\u2019s hometown where the town has voted to create a museum on Main Street.

Nettie and Miki find themselves teaming up to excavate the old ghost town for artifacts. What happens next - secrets are uncovered there that turn Nettie\u2019s life upside down! Things she did not want to relive or have revealed - long buried secrets intended to stay hidden forever.
