In December 1907, three coal mine disasters took place, killing hundreds of men who dared to tear apart the earth in search of wealth. The deadly tragedies \u2013 and the ghosts who linger because of them \u2013 remain some of the most terrifying accidents to ever occur in American history and still haunt the Appalachian region to this day.
